Lech Snow Report 15/03/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Lech

There is 240cm of snow at the top of the Lech ski area with 110cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  14th March with around 5cm falling.

There are 95% of pistes open in the Lech ski area with 100% ski lifts open.

The sun is arriving tomorrow, to let us all enjoy the new conditions, and Sunday is also looking bright. The beginning of next week is suggesting even more snow, but with milder temperatures.

The pistes are back to their perfected form here in the Arlberg, as a massive dump of the powdery stuff hit us over the last couple of days. Lech is looking amazingly beautiful, with its snow covered roofs, freshly coated fields and lightly dusted trees to create the most-loved wintery wonderland here once again! Who would know that it is already Springtime March with these fantastically Wintery December scenes!

Saturday 16th March – BIG AIR NIGHT CONTEST! Come and watch the professionals, the daring, and the unbelievable at the Stuben Big Air jumps this Saturday from 17:00. Big prize money is at stake for the winners of the ‘Best Air’, ‘Best Style’ and ‘Best Trick’.

Wednesday 20th March – Lech ski lifts discovery tour! Between 15:00 and 17:00 at the Weibermahdbahn you can learn first-hand about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a working ski-lift. You will be accompanied on skis to visit a cable-car installation, a snow-grooming vehicle and a snow-making facility.
