Lech Snow Report 15/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Lech
There is 295cm of snow at the top of the Lech ski area with 150cm of snow in resort. It is currently snowing in resort and it is due to carry on into Saturday.
85% of the ski runs are open in Lech with 60 of the 68 ski lifts also open.
On Saturday we are expecting some light snow, but sun will show it’s face at some point throughout the day. However Sunday and Monday are expected to be sunny, blue-sky days throughout morning and afternoon!
These are certainly the best conditions that we have had in the Arlberg since the beginning of the Winter Season! After the endless snowfall last week, this week has brought sunny, blue-sky days and low temperatures to keep all the snow at its best state. The runs have seen nothing but soft, perfectly groomed snow with not a patch of ice or hard-packed piste in sight. Plus, for those of you who are excited about the non-groomed areas to explore, the off-piste is at its finest! Never-ending un-tracked powder up to your knees…Incredible!
Sunday 17th February – Holy Mass ‘Missa in C’ from Giovanni Battista Casali is at 09:30am at the New Church Lech.
Wednesday 20th February – Lech ski lifts discovery tour! Between 15:00 and 17:00 at the Weibermahdbahn you can learn first-hand about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a working ski-lift. You will be accompanied on skis to visit a cable-car installation, a snow-grooming vehicle and a snow-making facility.
Wednesday 20th February – Torch Ski Show in Zurs starts at 19:00pm. It is a fantastic ski show, presenting a journey of the history of skiing. With some elaborate ski demonstrations and fireworks to finish off, this will be hard to miss for any guests in Lech or Zurs this week!
