Lech Snow Report 05/03/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Lech

There is 265cm of snow at the top of the Lech ski area with 125cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  20th Feb with around 5cm falling.

There are 98% of pistes open in the Lech ski area with 68 out of 68 ski lifts open.

Over the next couple of days the sun will still be shining high, although there are due to be light showers of snow on Thursday and Friday!

Spring time skiing has come early in the Arlberg area, where the deck chairs are coming out, sun cream is being smothered on and sunglasses are being show cased! The glorious sun shining is making for fantastic photo opportunities and is making for so of the best skiing you can imagine! The pistes are in well groomed conditions and are ready for you to go and explore, thanks to the impressive snow fall we had a few weeks ago. The off piste has the glitter snow effect and looks so enticing for you to experience. There are still many fresh blankets for you to go and create new tracks on! Skiing not to be missed!

Tuesday 5th March  – Torch Ski Show Lech! Come and watch the spectacular show put together by the Lech Ski School this Tuesday evening. The show starts at 21:30 where you will see ski demonstrations, piste bashers dancing and a fantastic firework display to conclude the night. Its said to be spellbinding!

Wednesday 6th March– Lech ski lifts discovery tour! Between 15:00 and 17:00 at the Weibermahdbahn you can learn first-hand about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a working ski-lift. Some amazing sights to behold!
