Ischgl snow report 28.12.2012
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl
There is 150cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area and 70cm down in the resort. Boxing day saw the last snowfall of 5cm.
There are 58km of runs open being served by 19 of the 43 lifts.
The temporary onset of winter forecast for Friday will leave on Saturday. The frost line will rise to a level of 3000 meters. A weak influence of high-pressure and long sunny spells are forecast. Few high clouds will hardly block out the sun. Slightly lower temperatures are expected for Sunday. A weak cold front will bring variable and cloudy conditions, however, rain is not expected. High clouds will mark a rise in temperature on New Years Eve, though significant. Calm conditions are also forecast for New Year’s Day. Patches of clouds will mark a beginning decrease in temperatures. However, also the next cold front will probably not result in a longer period of wintry weather conditions.
The sun is going to start to break through the blanket of clouds in the next 3 days making your day on the Ischgl mountains even more enjoyable. Again our favourite runs are the ‘40’s’ which all have the best snow conditions this time of year and is near to our famous duty free run. Both the home runs are fully functional essential when you want to go to the après ski.
You must not miss our fabulous New Years Eve Firework display taking place at the Silvretta from 11.50pm to count the new year in with a bang.
