Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl
The snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area is 100cm with 40 cm down in resort. The last snowfall was last week with 10cm coming down.The forecast is for light snow this afternoon then some sun peaking through the clouds. With lower wind speeds and higher temperatures the skiing in Ischgl looks set to be to great for for the remainder of the week!
100% of the runs are open here with 42 of the 43 lifts open also.
There has been snow showers since yesterday morning, the snow up on the mountain is fabulous. There’s still plenty of unskied powder and that which has been skied is currently being refreshed! With the current conditions the tree runs are the ones to go for. Red 38 and Red 3 will be particularly beautiful, winding down through the forest. The snow showers are set to continue over the next 3 days with the sunshine breaking its way through the blanket of clouds. Ischgl is going to have the best of both world’s for the foreseeable few days!
December 19th at 16:00 guests and locals are invited to go back in time and visit the pioneering era of the Silvrettaseibahn cable car company. Here you can see historic objects and devices from previous tourist eras such as gondola from the 60’s and old ski’s, boots, toboggans and rescue equipment. On 20th December The night-time toboggan run in Ischgl causes quite a stir: With seven kilometers of tobogganing on offer and at 950 meters altitude this is one of the longest routes in the Alps. The brightly illuminated route on Ischgl’s night-time toboggan run from the mountain stations for the Fimbabahn and the Silvrettabahn welcome guests from 7:00 p.m. From around mid-December until around the start of April it is open every Monday and Thursday when the weather is suitable.
