Ischgl snow report 12/02/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl

There is 160cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area with 50cm in resort. The last snowfall was on Saturday with around 5cm falling.

There are 234km of pistes open here in Ischgl with 42 of the 43 ski lifts open.

On Tuesday afternoon patches of thick clouds will determine the skies and some snow flakes cannot be excluded. Also on Wednesday thick clouds and few snow flakes cannot be excluded. A brief period of improved conditions will approach, which will bring long sunny spells on Thursday. On Friday, however, more unsettled conditions are expected once more. A weak cold front will bring slight snow showers. Variable conditions with clouds, scattered snow showers and few sunny spells are forecast for the weekend.

With the large amount of snowfall we have had for the past week there is plenty of fresh powder on the slopes. The ski conditions are excellent  Make sure you wrap up warm as temperatures have slightly dropped. Why not stop for a hot chocolate on one of Ischgl’s popular bars in the mountain to help warm you up throughout the day.

Why not try tobogganing on the 14th an don’t miss out on Ischgl’s fantastic ski show on the 12th Feb you wont be disappointed, the children during half term will love it. There is also a Jazz band playing in the Silvretta centre on Wednesday 13th. Also don’t forget to run the 40’s which are great if you fancy a bit of duty free shopping. The conditions are great at the moment so don’t miss out.
