Ischgl Snow Report 08/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl
There is 160cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area with 50cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 24th Feb with around 3cm falling.
There are 231km of pistes open in the Ischgl ski area with 100% ski lifts open.
The spells of Foehn, which have brought us not just a strongly blowing wind but also sunny spells, will start to depart. A weak influence of low-pressure will determine the weather beyond the weekend. At the weekend, however, there are good chances for some sunny spells. Showers will be rare and unproductive. The snow line will be located around a level of 1500 meters, though it will slowly sink beneath a level of 1000 meters starting next week. Mostly thick clouds will probably cover the skies. On Monday, the conditions will still be dry, on Tuesday and on Wednesday, repeated snow showers are likely forecast.
With the high number of snow cannons we have here at Ischgl the snow level always remains high. The pistes are in excellent condition making your day on the slopes extremely enjoyable. The sun is shining and the sky is clear and this is set to remain over the week end. Make the most of the brilliant ski conditions.
