Ischgl snow report 05.02.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl

There is 160cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area with 50cm in resort. The last snowfall was yesterday with 6cm coming down in Ischgl.

157km of pistes are open here in Ischgl with 31 of the 43 ski lifts open also.

Freezing temperatures are forecast for this week. Particularly at the mountains, the temperatures will be bitter cold. The low temperatures will be accompanied by clouds and some snow showers, which will fall particularly along the mountain ranges. Just short sunny spells are forecast from time to time. Longer periods of sunny conditions are not expected.

After a big fresh dump yesterday the snow up on the mountain is fabulous.  There’s still plenty of un-skied powder and that which has been skied is currently being refreshed!  With the current conditions the tree runs are the ones to go for.  Red 38 and Red 3 will be particularly  beautiful, winding down through the forest.  The snow is due to ease up this afternoon. The snow to the right of the black 21 is always a safe bet, and next to the Red 60s in Alp Trida will be brilliant.  With brilliant sunshine forecast for the rest of the week Ischgl is going to have the best of both world’s for the foreseeable few days!

Don’t miss the ski show on Tuesday 05/02/2012 it is an amazing way to start or end your evening. Tobogganing on Thursday night it is something not to be missed. Also don’t forget to run the 40’s which are great if you fancy a bit of duty free shopping. The conditions are great at the moment so don’t miss out.
