Ischgl snow report 01.01.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl

There is 150cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area with 70cm down in resort. The last snow came on 28th December with 20cm falling.

There are 222kms of runs open with 42 out of 43 lifts open.

On Wednesday, a weak cold front will bring some slight snow showers and a temporary drop in temperature. Already on Thursday, high air pressure and rising temperatures will determine the weather. A strong high-pressure area will approach from the west. We will stay on the eastern side of a moderately mild north-westerly current. Bright weather is not expected, however, the conditions will be good for winter sporting.

Ski conditions are amazing. We had 20cm of snowfall on 28th December so there is plenty of fresh powder on the slopes. There also clear visibility with plenty of sunshine making your day on the mountain fantastic. Again our favourite runs are the ‘40’s’ which all have the best snow conditions this time of year and is near to our famous duty free run. Both the home runs are fully functional essential when you want to go to the après ski.

If you would like to relax and chill out after the New Years celebrations why not head to the Silvretta Centre Spa where you can relax in their Jacuzzi, steam rooms, saunas and have a swim in their swimming pool, even better treat your self to a full body massage to fully relax and rejuvenate.
