Ischgl end of season events throughout April
Uncertainty about end of season snow levels and conditions leads many to stay clear of the end of season offers that ski companies advertise. This season, Ischgl are keeping their 238 kilometers of pistes open all the way up to the 1st of May.
They are so confident about the snow levels on their 2872 metre high pistes that they have arranged a series of events to take place culminating with a concert by British rock legends Deep Purple on the 30th April.
Also taking place during the month of April are the following events:
-Top Of The Mountain Easter concert on Monday 1 April, with the unique soul rap music of German duo XAVAS World
-Rookie Finals from 4-6 April bringing the best international snowboarders for the final showdown in the 2013 world tour
-Ischgl Heroes Challenge from 12-14 April features World Cup and Olympic medal winning ski veterans such as Patrick Ortlieb, Marc Girardelli and Leonhard Stock in a charity fun event, with money raised going to the United Nations World Food Programme
-Spring Snow Festival on 14 April, on the slopes of Alp Trida, just over the border in Samnaun, Switzerland, with the Finnish band Sunrise Avenue, and a giant slalom competition for The International Silvretta Students’ Cup
-Chefs Challenge for leading Austrian, German and Swiss chefs with a giant slalom from 15-16 AprilGourmet Class Skiing from 17-18 April plus the crowning event of a bartending championship
