Courchevel Snow Report 26/03/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Courchevel

There is 232cm of snow at the top of the Courchevel ski area with 151cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  March 26th with around 2cmcm falling.

There are 94 out of 119 of pistes open in the Courchevel ski area with 52 out of 57 ski lifts open.

The inevitable is happening. Rumours of leaving dates, end of season shut down and Summer’s hollow embrace are spreading round resort, a pre-occupation for some at exactly the wrong time. This is what they want. A disorganised rabble, without direction, leaderless – easy prey for the insidious Spring. Like Leonidas and his Spartan hoplites at Thermopylae, or the Royal Engineers at Rorke’s Drift, seasonnaires must unite, get organised, fight until the end, do everything we came here to do whilst there is still time. The snow is still glorious, the nights out exponentially large, but the clock is ticking. Can we have our cake and eat it? Mine is a mille-feuille, please.
