Courchevel Snow Report 20 Mar 2012

Courchevel, FranceA pleasing 8cm of fresh snow layers the slopes today bringing the upper slopes to 186cma and at 1850 the snow depth is now 145cm.

The temperature has lowered a bit, meaning the fresh powder from the last two days will be keeping the slopes in fantastic condition!

The ideal combination of sunny spells with temperatures low enough to preserve the snow and stop you getting too warm as you whiz down the pistes. More snow is forecast for Friday, to top up the snow again for next week.

This week we have the festival Ski et Toiles in Couchevel, combining sport and cinema. Skiers have an opportunity to end a days skiing with an ‘avant-premiere’ film, and a chance to meet film makers and actors.

Bring Your Sisters are back in Courchevel, playing at several venues around 1650 and 1850. With their lively performances, this is an après session not to be missed.
