Courchevel Snow Report, 06 Apr 2010

Courchevel, FranceThere is 180cm of snow depth at 2700m and 120 cm at 1850m.

It has now snowed every day in April in Courchevel, and snowed a fair amount. The significant fresh snow we have had has today been met by bright sunshine, forecast with warmer temperatures for the entire day.

The last few days have been a dream both on and off-piste with incredible snow leading people to search farther and wider for amazing fresh powder or enjoying the bashed pistes with a fresh covering on top making for amazing skiing all over.

The snow is still in great condition all over the mountain with runs opening up rather than shutting down this late in the season and warmer temperatures are leading to a much more comfortable form of skiing, being able to relax on the lifts up and glide down the slopes being able to fully trust your skis.

Sun is forecast all day today with a fresh 10cm over Wednesday and Thursday to create beautiful pistes for the sun to come out again on Friday.

Zizi, otherwise known as famous French footballer Zinedine Zidane has been spotted in resort this week though whether he will compete in the 3 Valleys X Wing Rally is unsure.

This week is also Sustainable Development Week with events going on all over resort.
