Courchevel snow report 01/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Courchevel
There is 171cm of snow at the top of the Courchevel ski area with 117cm in resort. It is currently snowing in resort with more due over the weekend.
114 of the 119 ski runs are open in Courchevel with 51 of the 57 lifts open.
Now for the latest installment from our skier poet Jack Pinnock
‘Sweetie Darling Sweetie Darling, let’s go skiing, it’s Val D’Isere, the most prestigious resort in the alps’, well, one has to wonder if Eddie would change that to Courchevel if the series was still running as there seems to be more sparklers and grey goose in this town than one can shake a ski pole at. Regardless of whether that sort of soiree is your cup of tea, there is a collective appreciation about this resort and that is summed up in two delicious words ‘Absolutely Fabulous’.
To top it all off as the must-go resort this season we have been basking in golden rays most of this week. Whilst this is a serotonin junkie’s dream, it leaves its inevitable mark as reverse panda eyed seasonnaires start to swear blind they’ve been working more than they have been skiing. And just when we wondered whether it was going to snow again the mountain skies became enveloped in thick grey snow cloud. Talk of a metre or more over the weekend has sent shivers down the coach drivers spine for departing guests, however it has a similar effect on arriving guests inducing childish excitement and unbreakable smiles, especially considering it is predicted to be sun sun sun from Sunday onwards!!!
