Best bars in Val d’Isere

Val d’Isère is well-known for being part of the amazing Espace Killy ski area. With fantastic skiing and killer après, it is always a customer favourite for a ski holiday. However, with all that choice for après, you can be a little spoilt for choice! So we have put our heads together to provide you with a list of our favourite bars to visit…

Val d'Isere | Cocorico

A great après scene and located at the main lift area of Val d’Isere, with live music and a great terrace area. Drinks are reasonably priced so it tends to be packed with seasonaires and young groups, making for a very lively atmosphere!

Café Face

This is a bit more relaxed than Coco Rico’s and often has a solo singer performing at 6pm. Get in at 6 for some of the cheaper prices (but they do increase throughout the night!) Definitely a good idea if you want a quieter scene for your après drinks!

Pacific Bar

Don’t want to miss your favourite team playing? Head to Pacific for a few drinks and watch some sport! With tons of screens, this is a very social bar without the overly loud music!

La Folie Douce

Ski Total | La Folie Douce
100% compulsory visit, even if you sit on the slopes and just watch the entertainment. Be prepared to get a second mortgage if you are buying a round of drinks though! It is very busy hot spot for keen après folk after a day on the mountain. Insider tip: leave just before it closes as the run down is a highway of ‘merry’ skiers and the bus back into resort is an experience to say the least!

Dicks Tea Bar

For your late night après, this is a hotspot and is a Val d’isere institution. With great music, and a really good crowd, the drinks are a little pricey but nothing more than you would expect from a nightclub!

Moris Pub

A great venue for some sport on the TV, coupled with a good happy hour and a sun filled decking. This does have a lot of regulars who stake out their seating areas, so make sure you get in early for the best spots!

La Baraque

We must confess, this is a secret spot but a massive staff favourite! If you come out of our luxurious Chalet Hotel Le Savoie and turn right heading out of town, on the right hand side is a bar with a large fire pit outside. Nextdoor to that is our favourite bar in town, La Baraque. With over 40 types of Gin and paying around 8 euros you just cannot go wrong. The general consensus is you can often be the only English people in the bar, which is a novelty to say the least in Val d’Isère! What a great place to be, in France surrounded by French people drinking a huge variety of Gin.. worth 8 euros a drink every time!
