Avoriaz Snow Report, 26 Mar 2010
The ski conditions at the moment are good as we have finally had some long anticipated snowfall today.
The new snow will improve the conditions of the pistes and also towards the end of this week after the next snow fall on Tuesday hopefully we will be able to see enough ‘Fresh powder’ for some good off piste runs. The new snow will also enable some improvements to be made to the snow park’s, bordercross and super pipe.
The snow forecast for today and the next three days is predicting snow all through today, tomorrow and Sunday with around 19cm of snowfall followed by cloud on Monday.
The wind speeds for today and tomorrow are high at around 30km/h – 20km/h it then gradually decreases on Sunday to around 15km/h but increases again Monday.
Temperatures are low today with temps between -3 and -5°c today and tomorrow then increasing to 5°c Monday.
This week in resort there is a ski rally around the Avoriaz ski area. It is also the much anticipated Avoriaz Jazz up week with 8 different jazz bands/ performers taking up residencies in 8 different local bars for the week, a perfect week for any fan of jazz or music lover.
