Avoriaz Snow Report 12/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Avoriaz
There is a massive 320cm of snow at the top of the Avoriaz ski area with 280cm in resort. 19cm of snow fell just this morning and it is due to continue today.
98% of the ski lifts in the Avoriaz ski area are open with all 33 lifts open also.
The weather forecast for the next few days is looking amazing. Temperatures will remain well below freezing however the sun is expected to be shining bright all throughout the next few days.
Avoriaz has been treated to a massive amount of snow over the past week which equals incredible powder conditions both on and off piste. The sun is also just starting to reappear making the lack of visibility no longer a problem. Views from the top of the mossettes Swiss chairlift are mesmerising and over at super Morzine in the next few days one may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Mont Blanc in the distance! Conditions this week will be excellent for skiers of every ability, with the beginner slopes remaining well groomed and ice free and the more challenging runs being so full of powder that only enjoyment will be had by all!
Tomorrow sees another torch lit decent and flash mob by the ever enthusiastic ESF ski instructors, with hot chocolate and vin chaud offered by the tourist office. Then on Wednesday the long awaited Tom Dice concert comes to town. He is a well known Belgium singer song writer who looks set to ignite the town’s atmosphere.
