There is 270cm of snow at the top of the Alpe d’Huez ski area with 168cm in resort. Around 8cm of snow fell in Alpe d’Huez overnight.

161km of the 250km ski runs are open today with 66 of the 80 ski lifts also open.

Clear skies and temperatures of -5 to -10 C are forecast for the next few days.

We’ve had fairly heavy snowfall for the first part of the week, making for some good powder days once the clouds had parted. As ever, there has been plenty of snow on the pistes. The temperature, though warm for February, has stayed below zero, so there’s very little ice on any of the slopes.

Ephemere, the foundation for next year’s Folie Douce at Marmottes 1, is continuing to develop. The south-facing stage is finished and the interior and exterior have been refurbished. The wait is on for what is sure to bean amazing opening party.
