Alpe d’Huez snow report 15.01.2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Alpe d’Huez
There is 259cm of snow at the top of the Alpe d’Huez ski area with 140cm in resort. There has been around 10cm of snow overnight and it continues to fall.
There are 131 runs open and 61 of the 64 Alpe d’Huez lifts are open.
Our sacrifices to Ullr have worked and it is still snowing. More fresh powder is falling from the sky! It seems the Vikings were right all along. Needless to say the conditions are fabulous both on and off the pistes, even on the lower slopes as the current freezing point is well down below the resort. We’ve even had blue sky days between the snowfalls this week. Who could ask for more?
This week is Ram Raid’s last performance in Smithy’s for a few weeks. We will be sad not to see them again, but are confident that a good match has been found to step into the breach for après next Thursday. Excitingly, a renowned Bob Marley tribute band is due in Underground next week and Electro Swing is being played by famous DJs tonight. Watch this space.
