Alpe d’Huez snow report 08/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Alpe d’Huez
There is 350cm of snow at the top of the Alpe d’Huez ski area with around 192cm in resort. The last snowfall was yesterday with 30cm falling.
There are 192km of pistes open here in Alpe d’Huez with 59 of the 80 ski lifts open also.
Average temperatures around minus ten. Clear skies until Monday night, when 11cm of snow is due.
We’ve had some really good snow over the last three days. The skies are now clear and the skiing is great. The slopes are well groomed and there’s fresh powder off the pistes. The slopes are particularly pleasant around Auris where they are very quiet and uncrowded.
Life in Alpe d’Huez continues apace. The après program is growing as bars position themselves ready for the opening of the Folie Douce next season.
