Alpe d Huez Snow Report 16/03/2015

Spring sprang early last week but temperatures have dropped again and the snow came back on Saturday, dusting the pistes with 9cm of snow. The low temperature has meant that the fresh snow has stayed in lovely condition and the slush has turned back into real snow. The sun came back out today and the slopes were busy with new holiday-makers making the most of these recent conditions. Up top at 3300m, there is still quite a chill in the air; it was -9 today at the top of Pic Blanc but between 1800-2800m, it felt warm and very pleasant. A nice variety!

Forecast: The forecast keeps changing but currently, it is looking as though we are going to have a little light snow over the next two days and then Thursday, we are going to be treated to bright blue skis and sunshine. Fabulous news! Coming back into the weekend, more snow is due to fall, possibly up to 20cm which will give the pistes a nice top-up.
