Alpe d Huez Snow Report 12/01/2016
Heavy snow has continued this week as expected, blanketing the resort giving us plenty of fresh powder to enjoy on and off piste. Wind speeds have been high, which has prevented some of the higher lifts being opened. The large amount of snow has also pushed the avalanche risk up to 4/5. So if you are looking to ski off piste, we strongly recommend you take the correct kit and follow a local guide.
The forecast for the coming week is a steady stream of light snow fall throughout the day and night, with just under 18cm expected on Thursday, being the main significant dump. Temperatures are set to range between -1 & -10 degrees Celsius in resort and wind conditions are due to continue being strong hitting a max of 57kmph.
