Alpe d Huez Snow Report 06/04/2015
Noone would believe that April has arrived in Alpe d’Huez. The snowfall that hit resort on Saturday has transformed Alpe d’Huez back to its former glory! With today and yesterday being perfect bluebird days, this weeks guests have really hit it lucky!
All runs are open and the amount of snow especially towards the top of the resort is unbelievable. The notoriously difficult ‘Le Tunnel’ is very pleasurable at the moment with the amount of snow – even if it is a thigh-killer!
Being roughly 100 miles as the crow flies from the Mediterranean, the sun is very strong in Alpe d’Huez so do remember to wear suncream!
Forecast: With more sunny days and the odd snow shower predicted, the conditions look like they will last through to the end of the week! Remember to wrap up warm if heading up to the Glacier, despite the sun it is still pretty chilly up there!
