Service with a smile is a vital ingredient of Ski Total ski holidays, so we hand-pick all our staff for their friendly, outgoing personalities.
Both our UK and overseas teams work together to provide a high quality, stress-free holiday for all our guests, so that from your first call onwards, everything runs smoothly, and you can relax and concentrate on enjoying your skiing!
Our UK Team
Our Reservations Advisory Team are on hand at all times to answer the slightest little query you may have, and to smooth your way into your perfect ski holiday.
Most of our staff are keen skiers themselves, and through regular overseas visits and training trips, we aim to keep the team fully up-to-date with all our new chalets and resorts every year.
Whatever your requirements may be, please just give us a call on 01252 618 333, or use the new improved on-line booking service.
We are here for you during office opening hours as follows, (and of course the website never sleeps!)
Mondays – Fridays ........ 9am – 6pm
Saturdays ......................9am – 4pm
Resort Managers and Representatives
A good Resort Manager or Representative is especially important on a ski holiday, where so much specialist knowledge is required, and there are so many little details to get right.
We make sure ours are the best – people with experience and a passion for skiing, matched only by their dedication to first-class guest service.
A sense of humour is important too, as is the ability to strike the right balance between friendliness and discreet efficiency.
They will be at the airport to greet you, escort you to your chalet or Chalet Hotel, explain the arrangements for your pre-booked ski packs and sort out any last minute requirements and be on hand throughout the week for whatever information or assistance you may require.
Chefs and Chalet Hosts
Good food would of course be high on any skier’s list of top priorities, and you will find our chalet and Chalet Hotel staff keen to deliver meals which entirely meet your expectations. Most will have done a recognised catering course, and/or have significant ‘real life’ catering experience.
In larger chalets and in our Chalet Hotels, we have professional experienced chefs, whilst in our smaller chalets, hosts may be experienced dinner party cooks.
We also run our own intensive pre-season catering course, to improve standards still further.
There is more though to being a Ski Total chalet host than just being a good cook, so we choose people with enthusiasm, personality and versatility.
At dinner, they will normally join you for at least the main course (kitchen duties permitting!), and will soon become chalet friends as well as hosts.
Staff's Day Off
All resort staff have one day off per week (normally Thursdays), which gives our guests the opportunity to enjoy an evening out at one of the local restaurants.
Ski Hosting Service
Available in most of our resorts, this extremely popular service provides the ideal way to get to know your chosen ski area better, and at the same time have a great day out in good company.
Your Ski Host, who may also be your Representative off the slopes, will take a group of no more than 12 skiers of similar ability each day, now extended to three days each week, and the day will normally include red runs, so you should be able to ski these comfortably.
When demand is high, guests join the group on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, subject to ski ability. Our hosts are not permitted to take more than 12 guests, and their decision on all safety matters is always final, including the ability of any skier to keep up safely with the rest of the group.
You will start on easier slopes to warm up, before setting off to explore the area, with our host on hand to share the local short-cuts, the best mountain restaurants, and tips and hints for getting the most from your skiing throughout the week.
Our hosts are not however instructors, and will not teach you to ski – if you would like tuition, we can gladly arrange this for you with the local ski-school.
Hosting may be subject to local legal restrictions, which may change during the season.
