Snow - top of ski area: 110cm at the top of the Greitspitze.
Snow depth in resort: 20cm
15 cm yesterday 20th of January, bring the total to 30-40cm over the last 7 days!
The Silvretta Arena has seen a fantastic amount of snowfall over the last week, piste conditions are just fantastic at the moment, and the snow is compact but still very much nice and soft. Meaning that skiers and borders alike wanting to practice their short turns, carving or just gentle skiing will find joy with the type of snow we currently have up on the mountain.
The off-piste now is also starting to rival the piste conditions with a nice fluffy layers building up around the edges of the pistes, meaning those more daring skiers will wanting to practice their off piste are assured a great time at the moment. With over 200km of off-piste to tackle it’s hard to see how they wouldn’t!
If you’re heading out on the mountain today though, it would be a great time to tackle some of the blacks in Ischgl, being Friday, and most people will have now found they’re skiing legs again so it’s definitely a great time to try them.
Although Ischgl does offer skiers some very challenging blacks, such as piste 14a or piste 20, there are quite a few blacks that are well within the capabilities of most skiers, piste 35, 21 and 4 are wonderful runs to ski on. Being blacks they are usually very quiet as people tend to avoid them, and also in Ischgl the black runs actually surprisingly tend to have the best snow, thus it’s definitely the place you want to be aiming for today.
Light snow is predicted for later on today, the weather then looks set to change, with sunnier skies predicted for Saturday and Sunday. However the temperature looks set to continue to drop, thus these freezing conditions are guaranteed to preserve the excellent condition of the snow up until Sunday evening, when we are set to see more snow showers, continuing into Monday.
Although it’s a way off, rumours have started to circulate that Paris Hilton will be making an appearance in Ischgl very shortly. Rumour has it she will be here over her birthday week, and partying it up with the every one in Ischgl on her birthday in Pacha on the 17th of Feb. Whether these rumours are true remains to be seen.

Snow at the top of the ski area at Steinmahd 2300m: 120cm
Snow depth in resort: Up to 65cm
The Arlberg region has been enjoying the delights brought by the fresh snow that has been falling in the past few days, with the villages turned into winter wonderlands. On the piste the snowfall has been expertly groomed to provide skiers with some of the best skiing conditions we have seen, and there is plenty of soft powder for those who prefer to explore off piste.
The long ‘ski route’ down to the village of Zug is a great example of this, where skiers can enjoy the feeling of having a valley to themselves while still within the patrolled ski area. The unusual combination of snow and areas of blue sky have been making for good visibility even on snowy days.
On Friday the snow will continue to fall, followed by some clear, sunny days on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will be lower than they have been, at around -16, ensuring the snow stays fresh and soft! We are then expecting another snowfall on Sunday evening to welcome our new guests to resort!
The Interski ski instructors conference is currently taking place in St Anton, and uniformed demo teams from each country can be seen daily around Lech practising their synchronised ski displays and performing spectacular jumps in the fun park.
Later on this week a unique event comes to Lech in the form of the Opera on Snow! Actors will be performing this opera by Andre Chenier on a stage specially constructed out of snow and ice. Ski Total guests have the ideal opportunity to watch this event as it takes place just next to the Chalet Hotel Alexandra - make sure you wrap up warm though!

The higher slopes have a snow depth of 160cm in Hochgurgl and Obergurgl and the lower slopes and the resort have a snow depth of 55cm.
Snow is falling today! So far 7cm has fallen on the higher slopes.
Snow conditions this week have been excellent with fresh snowfall falling everyday since Tuesday. The visibility has been variable with clouds coming and going, but generally the conditions have been better than predicted with plenty of sunny intervals. The fresh top up of snow has resulted in plenty of new off-piste runs to be tracked, and has created a fresh layer for the piste to cover any icy matches that were forming. Light snow is set to fall today and tomorrow and then clearing by Sunday, so superb conditions predicted for next weeks guests.
Light snow and cloudy conditions predicted today and tomorrow and then clear sun on Sunday morning.
Tonight is the legendary après ski party in the Nederhutte, with live music, dancing on tables and plenty of drinking. A free skidoo taxi service is available for anyone who may not fancy the ski down at the end of the night. Tomorrow evening there will be a presentation in the town hall by two skiing pioneers talking about their experiences.

Snow depth in resort: 40cm at Base (1304m)
Snowing today and 5cm yesterday!
Skiing in this area is brilliant; we have had fresh snow every day for the last three days. Light snow is still falling in some areas at the moment and visibility is very good. It's a great time to enjoy some of the longer runs with the Alberg area.
Our featured run commences at the top of Valluga 1 in St Anton and concludes in the neighbouring town of Lech (Red 19, followed by Red 14, then follow signs to free Bus no. 3 for Lech and Zurs).
To make it a round trip, take one of numerous routes from Lech to Zurs (starting with the Rufikopf lift) before getting the bus back to Alpe Rauz. This will provide a great day's skiing with plenty of opportunity to practice on and off piste skiing!
A large amount of snow has fallen in the past few days, and it is forecast to be largely clear for the weekend with some fresh snow expected on Sunday night. The predicted temperatures; lows of -24 and highs of -9.
Interski 2011 was a big hit last night, with competitors from many countries putting on a great show for all the crowd to enjoy. In my opinion some of the most spectacular events were performed by Norway and Switzerland.

Snow –depth at the top of ski area: 130cm
Snow depth in resort: 10cm
A light dusting of snow fell yesterday in resort with more at the top of Pic Blanc.
The snow is currently extremely hard-packed with the pisteurs doing the best to maintain and develop the snow conditions, snow cannons firing on all cylinders. The top of Pic Blanc glistens in the sun shine making the black runs at the top a truly beautiful sight with some good skiing to go along with it.
Down lower in resort around the areas of Vaujany you ca escape the winds and enjoy peaceful quiet slopes with no queues for chair lifts.
Weather forecast for next 3 days – dry air with clear blue skies, wind chill will be cold hopefully bringing in some snow clouds later on.
The film festival seems to have gone down a treat with several guests going out to have a good chuckle and enjoy the atmosphere.

Snow at the top of ski area: 73cm of snow at Saulire (2700m)
Snow depth in resort: 62cm
With snow showers already seen throughout the 3 vallées area, much of the mountainside is getting a lovely top-up! Many runs have been in a packed condition in recent days with the new dusting of fresh snow making all the difference!
Higher runs are going to see the best conditions still, but many of the runs over towards Courchevel 1650 will be in good shape as the sun gets to them. “Chapelets” should be in good condition today and will most likely be fairly clear of skiers, exactly what’s needed for some fast piste skiing.
The sun looks like it will be out for at least the morning as clear skies kick-start today! Perfect to take advantage of the new snow and get some great views of the valley and across towards Mont Blanc, so make sure you take those cameras out!!
Various runs above Mottaret and over into Val Thorens will be best, and again those runs from the top of “Mont Vallon” and the “Funitel Peclet”, notably the red run “Christine”, will be well worth a go! The Orelle valley is also in great condition so if you’re up for a long ski, it would be well advised to get all the ways across to see this 4th valley!
With light snow showers forecast for this afternoon and into this evening we may see a bit more snow, and temperatures expected to stay low to keep everything light and fluffy.
Skies are expected to clear completely by Saturday and stay that way until Wednesday which will make sure all get a suntan whilst in the 3 valleys! The freezing levels across the valley are due to stay low which is great for all runs down into Le Praz, La Tania and Courchevel 1550!
With the Polo Masters at the Altiport from the 26th through until the 30th of this month, we’re likely to see some of the rich and famous faces linked with the sport! Don’t ask me to name any players, but those on the sidelines of this exclusive sport are often better known! It’s expected to me a real spectacle of what Courchevel is about and with the weather looking superb for the next 4-5 days it’s sure to be a great event!

Snow at the top of ski area: 152cm of snow
Snow depth in resort: 55cm in resort
- 90cm on lower pistes
Today’s weather is set to be extremely cold with temperatures between -19 and -25 so layers are a must for hitting the slopes today. Lots of sunshine though and clear blue skies. Light snowfall is also predicted.
Most of the slopes here in Arc 2000 are in very good condition so all in all today is very pleasant.
Saturday is looking to be moderately sunny with temperatures between -16 and -26. With Snow showers late night and overnight.
Sunday will have sunny spells throughout the day with temperatures still very cold temperatures between -13 and -20.
Monday sunshine in the morning and clear blue skies. Light snow fall in the afternoon and temperatures between -11 and -24.
This week sees the normal weekly programme take place, with the torch-lit descent and the ice rink being open. Always popular among guests and the locals.
21.01.11
There’s a snow depth of 60cm at the top of the Chamossiere with 10cm on the lower slopes into resort.
There is a new fresh blanket of snow after a light snowfall yesterday afternoon. The snow cannons are also on full blast on the Chavannes slopes ensuring all pistes are in good skiing condition.
Clear blues skies and sunshine can be enjoyed today, but make sure you still dress up warm as the temperature has dropped a little to an average of -5C. A great place for skiing at the moment is the bowl where several lifts can take you to the La Rosta, Le Ranfoilly and the Pointe de la Turche peaks.
One of my favourite runs Tulipe comes down from the Le Ranfoilly peak straight back into the bowl and would be perfect to ski today.
Light snow is expected to drop tonight, and tomorrow afternoon. Temperature will stay below freezing with an average of -5C in resort and -12C at the top of the Chamossiere. Blue skies and sunshine is forecasted for Saturday morning and Sunday. Light snow showers are expected on Monday.
There is a new Chavannes bubble lift in Les Gets this year. The Chavannes bubble lift has had a total facelift for the winter of 2010/2011. Still sporting its historic red paint, the new 6-people bubbles (Diamond, built by Sigma) allow for speedier transit and less waiting time. Access to the cable car is easier, particularly for beginners as it is now all on one level thanks to the new station conceived by Poma. The total investment in the project is 4.5 million Euros.

Snow at the top of ski area: 73cm at the top of Mont du Vallon
Snow depth in resort: 25cm
We are still experiencing some sunny weather this winter although the last couple of days have been colder than recent days. Luckily we had some light snow at the top of the mountain yesterday followed by blue bird skies today The snow today was generally very nice, just a little damp, soft and spring-like on the lower pistes.
The weather forecast next week is mainly, sunny, cold and dry but when you’re up in the mountains anything can change!
Live bands on at various bars around Meribel all next week including the Meribar at the Chaudanne, a must for Apres Ski! Also Ice Hockey at Parc Olympic on Tuesday and the local market on Fridays.

Snow - top of ski area: 123cm

The pistes throughout the Espace Kily region are continuing to provide some of the best skiing in the entire Alps.
Both the La Forne glacier and the Grande Motte glacier are proving to be extremely popular with the snow on the peaks close to perfect.
The Val d’Isère snow park continues to grow and proves to be a popular hangout for seasonnaires and holiday makers alike, dreams of the fast approaching Tignes-held European X-games still lurking in the back of many people's minds.
Some snow showers are due for this evening with the clear skies that have been blessing the slopes all week returning from Saturday morning.
Pro-skiers Xavier Bertoni and Kevin Roland have been seen training on the super-pipe in preparation for the Europe 2011 X Games in March. Last year’s winner Kevin Roland will be hoping for the repeat performance to see himself land another gold medal.
21.01.11
There is 123 cm of snow on the upper slopes and 52cm in resort.
I well and truly feel like a seasonnaire with my goggle tan! The sun has been flooding the mountains for the past week, yet the snow conditions have not deteriorated, and this has been helped due to the occasional light dusting which means I’ve had an amazing week of skiing and basking in the sun outside mountain restaurants.
Of course the very best snow can be found up the Passaillas Glaceir which Ihave claimed as my sweet spot. It has a tendency to be deserted for some strange reason! So when you do come out to Val d’Isère head on up there and enjoy the lack of queues.
Today will be another sunny day but the wind might make it feel a little colder than it actually is! Apart from the occasional late night snow showers, the sun will stay with us throughout the weekend.
You what makes rally car racing exciting? The carnage as they blast around country roads! Now how about we exchange the roads for ice! That’s right, the “Auto Moto” challenge is coming to Val and i’m raring to get down to La Daille on Saturday to go and watch it. In other events, last night witnessed a torch lit descent, however this one was a much more sombre affair as it was in honour of those who had lost their lives on the mountain.
21.01.11
Snowed yesterday!
Upper Slopes have a snow depth of 165cm and on lower slopes there is 85cm.
Brrrr...
the temperature sure has dropped here in Val Thorens to an average of -16 - This is great news for the snow conditions, keeping the pistes from melting and the base to become firmer. Even with the sun shining bright yesterday morning an extra layer of clothing was needed to keep warm. As the day drew on the weather closed in and a light dusting of fresh snow came along.
The whole of the resort is open, every lift and every trail, with some of the best skiing either in Orelle or Mt De La Chambre.
21.01.11
Snow - top of ski area: 180cm at the top of the Portavescovo
350cm top of Marmolada
Snow depth in resort: 50cm lower slopes
The last few days have been sunny and warm, rather like March weather but lovely skiing conditions in the morning on all slopes in the Dolomites. The skiing on the north facing slopes of Portavescovo in Arabba have remained perfect throughout the day and really the best place to end your day’s skiing.
The sunny weather will continue tomorrow but temperatures are due to change on Wednesday. Wednesday evening we are expected to have a lot of snow with snow forecasted all day Thursday above 500m. Temperatures will reduce dramatically by Thursday.
This new snow will certainly give our base a top up, although Arabba still has the best depth in the Dolomites. The lower areas and south facing slopes will however benefit from our new snow arrival.
The sella ronda circuit is in good condition in both directions but the clockwise direction allows you to ski the steeper runs in the morning when the snow is at its best, therefore this is currently the preferred route.
Forecast for tomorrow is still warm and sunny. On Weds we have cloud and cooler weather then on Weds evening and Thursday the snow will fall.
In Arabba the Stube bar will be having a karaoke night on Tuesday and Thursday. Apres night in Corvara will take place on Friday this week after the Hidden valley and Santa Croce ski day.
18.01.11
Snow at the top of ski area: 150cm on the mountain
Snow depth in resort: 60cm
The snow that we had on Wednesday has made all the difference to the resort and the pistes, perking everything up and putting a spring into the step of the runs. Guests who were out skiing yesterday reported much improved conditions from earlier in the week and it looks like, with our clear blue skies today that an outing around the famous Sella Ronda would be the perfect choice for someone looking for excellent skiing and breath-taking views (and who isn’t?).
Alternatively, today would be the perfect chance to pop on the ski bus and head to Ortisei to catch the bubble up to Alpe de Suisi and make the most of the sunshine on some beautiful intermediate slopes.
The temperatures have dropped quite dramatically from last week making the runs much less heavy and this is set to continue for rest of the week and into next. In addition, we’re expecting some snow on Saturday, Sunday and Monday just in time for our new guests. Along with light winds, this should mean that the Sella Ronda stays in lovely condition well into next week.
There’s plenty to be going on with apart from the skiing for the rest of this week. Tonight the local ice hockey team are playing at home which always proves to be a lively evening. Tomorrow morning there’s a freestyle tour of the snow park and, of course, on Monday we’re all looking forward to the evening’s ski show hosted by our very own Snowboard and Ski School 2000.
21.01.11
Snow depth at top of ski area: 187cm
Snow depth in resort: 55cm
A light dusting of snow at the end of last week plus the added snow making facilities in Saas Fee have made for some good piste conditions.
In the resort at 1800 the Kalbermatten slope and the Stefalwald slope are in good condition. The sun is playing a very important job of making sure that the nursery slope are a pleasure to ski on with the Kalbermatten slope getting some sun in the morning and the Stefalwald slope getting a full afternoon of the warm stuff.
Temperatures around the Morenia have dropped a lot over the last few days making for some super fast pistes. Run number 5 and 5a are particularly quick and the shush on run number 5a has been a playground for the speed demons out their this week.
Up at the top of the mountain at 3500m the snow has kept in very good condition and the runs are a real dream to ski. With all the sunshine we have had over the last week the views of the Dom are truly remarkable.
Some cloud bringing snow fall on at the start of next week. Lots of sunshine but temperatures are dropping so be sure to wrap up warm.
Burton Snowboards legend Fredrick Kalbermatten has been spotted taking a few runs on the mountain after his injury to his knee over the summer!
21.01.11
Clear skies dominated the first half of the week but have since been replaced by snow clouds that are gradually topping up the snow levels in the Four Valleys.
There is 85cm's of snow at just over 2000m, rising up to well over metre in depth at over 3000m's.
The snow fell through the night leaving a blanket of powder covering the resort.
The pistes are well maintained as always in Verbier and the overnight snowfall has put down a fresh layer of powder for all to enjoy!
The weather for the next 3 days is expected to be a mixture of sun and snow but definitely staying cold throughout.
For an authentic taste of Verbier's skiing culture why not take part in the Philippe Roux Challenge which takes place each Saturday from Savoleyres down to Verbier. Or if you’re looking for a bit of fun far from the slopes why not pop into the cinema for some panto fun with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
21.01.11
There is 112cm of snow at the top of the Klein Matterhorn lift with 5cm on the ground in the resort.
Another light dusting of snow over night has topped up what have been really good on piste skiing conditions this week.
The sun has been shining but the air temp has been fairly cool so the runs have not become icy. Temperatures dropped on Thursday and Friday, however it is still fairly warm in the sun.
The next 3 days are looking very clear and bright. Zermatt is sat under a high pressure system. Temperatures are ranging between -9 and -17.
There is a classical music concert on in the catholic church on Thursday evening. They are playing music from Vivaldi and Mozart amongst other famous classical musicians. The moonlight skiing went down a treat with many people touring up to a party which had been organised up the mountain.
