Les Arcs Ski School
Les Arcs is an excellent place to learn to ski, with snow-sure beginners' areas within easy reach of all our chalets, and that great 'top-of-the-world' feeling that comes from being up in the mountains from day one, rather than learning down in the valley.
There are also ski and snowboard courses available for all ability levels from early intermediate to advanced, and guides available for off-piste touring.
Families will also find this a convenient resort, and the ski-school makes children of all ages very welcome.

The Skiing in Les Arcs
The ski area of Les Arcs and its connected villages of Vallandry and Peisey Nancroix include some of the smoothest and longest runs in the French Alps, as well as some of the most exciting. Whatever your ski ability, whether you are chasing a speed record, enjoy motorway cruising and pretty tree-lined runs or want to learn on gentle, sunny nursery slopes, Les Arcs has something to offer everyone.
This is a fantastic ski holiday area for intermediates, especially mixed ability groups, as many of the lifts offer alternative routes, so easier or more challenging runs can be selected. Skiing in the trees down to Peisey Nancroix is delightful and it is worth exploring this under-used area for its well groomed, quieter ski slopes
There is much to test the expert skier in Les Arcs. The steepest and deepest powder is generally below the the Aiguille Rouge and in the renowned couloirs of its East Face (go with a guide!) The 7km run to Villaroger involves a spectacular vertical drop of 2000m, and challenging moguls develop on the Comborcières run.
Les Arcs is also a snowboarder's paradise, with a superb fun-park and half-pipe complementing Les Arcs resort's natural terrain.
The Vanoise Express cable-car connects Les Arcs with the further 220kms of wonderful skiing at neighbouring La Plagne - yet another exciting dimension to the simply superb ski area.
