Ski Range 1,800m – 2,460m
Good ski chalets are a real rarity in Avoriaz, so we are delighted to bring you what we believe to be the best of them all – four neighbouring chalets, on the piste edge, close to the resort centre and ski-lifts, with skiing quite literally to and from the doorstep.
The highest resort on the massive Portes du Soleil, Avoriaz also has without doubt some of its best skiing. Enjoy its wide open pistes, superb snow record, spectacular views, and '360ºskiing', with lifts and pistes fanning out in all directions from the attractively compact traffic-free centre.

The Skiing
Skiers and snowboarders staying in our Avoriaz ski chalets are thoroughly spoiled – it is hard to think of anywhere more utterly convenient, with skiing to and from the doorstep, and the ski school meeting-place and two charming restaurants all within a decent snowball's throw of our Avoriaz ski chalets.
The surrounding slopes tick all the boxes. This is a great place for beginners to start their ski careers with that 'top-of-the-world' feeling, but it is intermediates and advanced skiers who will revel in life here at the very heart of the Portes du Soleil. With 650kms of sensational pistes to explore around 14 different French and Swiss villages, you will never tire of this enormous area.
Plentiful blue runs allow for miles of stylish cruising, while the reds and blacks up the stakes in stages for those in search of a challenge, culminating in the infamous Swiss Wall. Touring from village to village is a highlight for many skiers, criss-crossing between France and Switzerland - especially if you are fond of traditional mountain bars and restaurants, of which there are plenty on both sides of the border. Free-style skiers and boarders meanwhile will know Avoriaz as the pioneer, and still front-runner, in exciting snow-parks, with four to choose from, including the most recent,'The Stash'.
There is great off-piste skiing up here too, including the four 'snowcross' runs recently added, which are marked and patrolled, but left unpisted as nature intended, including the Crozats run, for over 3 kms of virgin snow.
Skiing down to Les Prodains gives you access via a short ski-bus connection to the whole Morzine/Les Gets area too.
Apres ski
The car-free resort centre has a lively après ski atmosphere, with enough bars to offer a choice of styles and moods, and plenty of restaurants for your Chalet Hosts' one night off, including two within just a minute's walk of home! The Tavaillons and Yeti are always popular, and Le Yak has music and dancing.
Regular music, sports and family events run throughout the season, especially on peak dates, and there's a wide range of non-skiing activities to enjoy after a full day's skiing.
Resort Facilities
Choice of shops and restaurants, ice-rink, sleigh-rides, Altiform fitness centre with gym, sauna and hot-tub, Avoriaz Spa with massage and beauty treatments, horse-drawn sleigh-rides, husky-sledding, snowmobiling, para-gliding, heli-sightseeing, bowling, cinema, regular events run by the Tourist Office.

Ski Packs
Pre-bookable Ski Packs
We are pleased to offer you a convenient pre-bookable service for ski/board and boot hire, tuition and lift passes. The big advantages are that everything is arranged for you in advance, prices are guaranteed against currency fluctuation, and you can relax and look forward to a smoother first day in resort.
Your equipment hire and lesson vouchers will be in your Welcome Pack ready for you immediately on arrival, and your lift passes will be delivered to you either on arrival or by breakfast time on your first morning, so you can hit the slopes without delay.
Ski school
A great place for tuition of all levels, so call our Advisory team to talk through your requirements, from outright beginners to advanced skiers wanting a mountain guide to explore the off-piste adventures on offer.
For children meanwhile, there is an equally good range of ski and snowboard lessons available, plus the non-skiing 'Village des Enfants' in the resort centre for children from three years, which has an excellent reputation.
