We are pleased to offer you a convenient pre-bookable service for ski/board and boot hire, tuition and lift passes. The big advantages are that everything is arranged for you in advance, prices are guaranteed against currency fluctuation, and you can relax and look forward to a smoother first day in resort.
Your equipment hire and lesson vouchers will be in your Welcome Pack ready for you immediately on arrival, and your lift passes will be delivered to you either on arrival or by breakfast time on your first morning, so you can hit the slopes without delay.
Ski school
Beginners, adult and child lessons all run from the Essert lifts from Monday to Friday, and the ski-school has an excellent reputation, with English spoken widely and well by the instructors.
Various options are available for children's classes from kindergarten care to Mini Champion groups.
Aprés Ski
This is a resort that buzzes with life. But its not just for the party crowd - there are activities galore from laid back to energetic and to suit all pockets. From the time that the lifts close, bars like the Fer à Cheval start getting busy, the Offshore and the Milk Bar are active with a younger crowd, whilst Le Farinet usually has a live band. Later vibrant spots are the Mont Fort bar and Le Farm, with Coco Club topping the range with its sophisticated style and atmosphere.
Restaurants are good and numerous. At the top end of the scale, the Michelin starred La Table d'Adrien has easily the best gourmet dining, whilst at the other, the Fer à Cheval does great pizzas. A number of good moderately priced spots like Le Caveau are good at the local cheesy specialities.
An excellent sports centre provides swimming, squash, tennis, skating and curling, or take advantage of one of the many other activities available in the resort.
Resort Facilities
84 shops, 41 restaurants, 22 bars, Sports centre (pool/squash/tennis), Ice Skating, Curling, Heliskiing, Two 10km toboggan runs, 25km of hiking trails, Free resort shuttle bus
The Skiing
Amongst the world's elite ski areas, the Four Valleys is Switzerland's biggest and most impressive ski region. Encompassing Verbier, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, and Veysonnaz, it has a stunning selection of varied skiing. Recently, huge expenditure on state-of-the-art lifts has further improved skier-flow around the area and last winter's brand new piste signage has made finding your way around a whole lot easier.
The two Médran gondolas lead up to Ruinettes and then Mont Gelé, Attelas or Mont-Fort. A new combimix lift 'La Chaux Express' now links Ruinettes to La Chaux by a combined 6-man chairlift and 8-man gondola and completes the lift connection from Le Châble at 800m to Mont-Fort at 3,300m.
You can take your pick from endless variety in Verbier - open cruising, soft powder or near vertical, VW beetle-sized moguls. Skiers and boarders alike will welcome the fact that all this main area is served by cable-cars, chairlifts and gondolas, giving those knees a well-earned rest!
Savoleyres, to the north-west of the resort, is an underrated area, where wide stretches of sunny, open slopes, great for intermediate cruising, lead to the glades of La Tzoumaz. Tortin is the gateway to the remainder of the four valleys, opening onto numerous runs, wooded and open, gentle and steep, which link five more resorts.
Verbier is also justly famed for its wonderful off-piste terrain, ranging from scenic touring routes to the extreme challenge of Mont Gelé's couloirs.
