The Skiing
Now four valleys rather than three, this is a huge, state of the art system with 600 kms of varied terrain. Dawdle on flattering tree-lined slopes, attack giant bumps and steep couloirs or notch up the mileage, cruising the whole magnificent system.
Above Méribel itself is a combination of cruisy glades and open boulevards, which enjoy both morning and afternoon sun, whilst higher up on Mont Vallon, the going gets tougher, with excellent off-piste and some testing long runs.
An effortless access to Courchevel leads to immaculately groomed pistes and great restaurants above 1850, the famous couloirs of the Saulire and the tricky bumps on Chanrossa.
Access to the Belleville valley is easy too, where Val Thorens offers endless adventure on its spectacular high altitude slopes. In sunny weather, head for the wonderful open slopes of Tougnète and swoop down to St Martin de Belleville for a relaxed lunch. On past Val Thorens, the Maurienne valley connection has added even more on and off-piste possibilities.
Méribel is also popular with snowboarders, and the excellent Mottaret snow-park, served by its own chairlift, has two half-pipes, two quarter-pipes, three tables, a spine, and a 700m-long four-man boarder-cross course.
Our fine range of chalets offers a choice of many of the best areas of Méribel Centre, the buzzing heart of this deservedly popular resort, set right at the hub of the ski-lifts, and offering a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants for all tastes.
