The Skiing
Selva Val Gardena is part of the Dolomites Superski, the world's largest ski network. This network covers 1,200km of well-groomed and easily accessible slopes and is connected by some 450 lifts and ski buses. A relatively new feature in the Dolomite Superski area is a selection of ski tours which guide you round a range of circuits from the sporting to the romantic, stopping at wonderful panoramic viewpoints and mountain huts to sample the culinary specialities of the region. So each day another feature of this incredible area can be explored.
For those seeking a little more adrenaline, there is the Men's World Cup Downhill in St Cristina, where a new funicular has recently opened, some good testing runs in the Arabba area, and the challenging blacks down the Soura Sass.
For boarders, Selva is ideally suited to free-riders wanting to cover some ground and ride the day away, enjoying the natural terrain. For free-stylers, Selva offers a small fun-park, and there are other, larger parks in Canazei, Plan de Gralba and Cortina – all covered on your area lift-pass.
Sella Ronda Ski Circuit
This famous ski circuit involves four different valleys and exploring some of the side pistes offered by each valley can extend its length considerably. The Sella Ronda can easily be skied in a day, either clockwise or anti-clockwise and is an achievable goal for early intermediate skiers.
