Children in Ski Chalets & Ski Chalet Hotels

We recognise that both families with young children and groups of exclusively adults tend to feel more at home in a chalet with other like-minded guests. We therefore have a policy that children under 13 are not accepted in our chalets, except in the following three cases - which still means plenty of choice for Total families!

Three Ways to Join us as a Family

1. Most of our chalets and Chalet Hotels welcome families on the following peak holiday dates:-

Christmas (23rd December 2011 & 2012)

New Year (30th December 2011 & 2012)

Half Term (12th February 2012 & 17th February 2013) Selected chalets also welcome families on 19th February 2012 (please call for details 01252 618 333)

Easter (1st & 8th April 2012, 24th & 31st March & 7th April 2013)

 

2. All our chalets are available to families on any other date, if you book the whole chalet for your party’s exclusive use.

3. All of our Chalet Hotels and all our Les Gets chalets are open to families with children on all dates, whether or not you book the entire property for your exclusive use.

Fantastic Value Child Reductions

The reductions shown in the panel below apply to every chalet and Chalet Hotel in our programme. Infants must be under two years of age on the date of return travel. A cot and highchair will be supplied in our chalets, which must be pre-booked at the time of booking if required. Please bring your own cot linen. The infant charge is £99 per week.

Conditions: Percentage reductions are shown off the basic adult price, after deduction of any adult 'cash-back' Crunch-Buster saving, and not including flight or room supplements, ski-packs, ski/snowboard carriage, insurance, or any other supplement. Above reductions are for charter air-inclusive holidays. Children on Accommodation-Only holidays receive half the discounts shown above.

Children in our Platinum properties

Families will be welcomed in our two Platinum Chalet Hotels, the Rosalp in Verbier and Abendrot in Ischgl.

Due to our owners' wishes only children 13 years and over will be accepted in our Platinum Chalets regardless of the date.

Children’s Meals

Children’s High Tea is provided at 5.30pm as the main evening meal for all children under 13 years, and is tailored more towards children’s normal tastes than our adult-only dinner menu, and includes plentiful soft drinks.

Children under 13 are not then permitted to join adult dinner. Teenagers aged 13 years and above join adult dinner.

Naturally, if you have booked a whole chalet for your exclusive use, the choice of dining separately or together is entirely up to you - please let us know at the time of booking however, so that we can plan and prepare properly for your arrival. For children under 13 receiving a child discount, there is a £39 supplement to upgrade from child meals to the adult menu.

Children’s Ski-Packs

We include all the necessary pre-booking information for children’s tuition as well as for children’s lift passes and equipment rental in all resorts.

We strongly recommend pre-booking all your family’s requirements, to simplify the process on arrival, and make the start of your holiday as smooth as possible.

There can often be quite a range of options available for children’s ski-school, with full or half-day lessons for example, or three or five-day courses, plus specific classes for teenagers, so these are not all detailed on the ski-pack pages. We do however recommend that you discuss your children’s tuition requirements with our Reservations team at the time of booking so that we may pre-book these for you, as availability can be limited, and you may risk not getting the ski classes you want if you leave arrangements until arrival in resort, especially of course on the peak holiday dates.
